BrownTown Christmas Tree 2010

ChampionsToday we went in search of BrownTown Christmas Tree 2010. Since living in Dallas we’ve always gotten our tree at Home Depot – quick, easy, and cheap, but not very high on the family experience scale. In Oregon, we trudged through waist-deep snow in the National Forest and cut down a tree, but that’s another story. Anyway, we decided that this year we wanted our tree acquisition to be a bit more of an adventure so we drove out to Flower Mound and hit the Christmas Tree Farms.
Now, calling these places “farms” is a bit of a stretch. They are definitely farming something out there, but it’s not Christmas trees. Regardless, they had a lot of neat stuff set up for the kids – and some beautiful, lush, over-priced trees. We just couldn’t pony up $180 for a 7 foot tree that runs $40 at the Depot. So, we hung around and let the kids have all the fun they could handle and scooted right back on over to Old Faithful and got a beauty of a tree for 1/4 the price. All in all, it was a great day and the kids had a blast.

My name is Les Brown - not The Les Brown - just Les Brown. I'm married to the lovely and adorable SuperWife, Desi Brown. Together we're blessed with six IncrediKids - Abbie, Paul, Luke, Joshua, Bella, and Lilly, and we're hoping for more. All things considered, I live a fairly normal life - I work, lead my family, spend time with friends, and try to figure out how to do all of this in the way God intends. Not always easy. I started this blog out of a desire to create community with other Big Family Dads. There's definitely a bunch of us out there and though I don't have all the answers, I do understand a lot of the questions. I'm hoping to be an encouragement and to provide some great tools and resources for other dads.
